Catch Up
Group Date Night. Sushi!! Yum! |
So, what's new? Well
the girls have been taking swim and ballet lessons. They love both! They have their ballet recital on June 2nd. They are really excited. Kiley was doing so well in swim that they
moved her up two classes. I made an Elsa
dress for both girls. I have been doing
some landscaping in the backyard. The
girls have been helping me plant all kinds of plants and flowers. The girls convinced me to put out some bird
feeders and I am glad we did. We have
had all kinds of bird visitors. I have
attached some pix of some of them. Our
favorite is our red bellied woodpecker that comes almost every morning while we
eat breakfast, we have had goldfinch, doves, cardinals and others as well. The girls like looking them up online and finding out about them. We are fixing up the
backyard and adding some play areas and furniture as well. I will have to post pics when it is all done.
We went to Texas for a little trip to see Christian's
Sister and Brother and their families.
We had so much fun. My only
regret is that I didn't take very many pictures (I think I took like 5). LOL. They are attached as well.
Rowen recently decided to give herself a haircut. LOL. We had the carpet cleaners coming one afternoon. Kale was down for a nap, Kiley was at school and Rowen was watching frozen downstairs. I vacuumed downstairs and then ran upstairs to vacuum real quick before the cleaners came. I only got one room vacuumed when they knocked on the door. I let them in and began to walk them through the house when I noticed chunks of blonde hair. " I just vacuumed" I thought. Then I realized it was my daughters hair. LOL. I found her behind the chair in the family room with scissors. She had chopped her bangs off and had cut one whole side off as well. There are pics below. The choices were either mullet or pixie cut so we went with the pixie cut. When I asked her why she did it she said her bangs were in her eyes. LOL. Then I remembered two days before she asked me to cut them for her and I told her I would do it later. I guess she decided to take care of it herself since I was taking too long. LOL. At least she is independent. LOL. I had a video of her explaining what happened attached.
All in all it has been a fun year so
far. Kale is growing up so fast. We are having my family reunion out here in
August so our goal is to finish our backyard by then. Wish me luck! lol.

MIA Again
Sorry everyone. I keep playing the disappearing act. With three kids and Kiley now in school life seems so much busier. lol. So just a brief summery of 2013 since I last posted. We went to Cali for our Towner Reunion and go to see the newest addition to the family, lil' miss Paige (Christian's brother Adam and his wife Holly's little girl), she is so stinkin cute. We had fun and got to see some old friends too. I don't have time to post all these pictures so sorry about that. The next big thing that happened was Kiley started school in August. Yes, Kindergarten! Wow, she is getting so big! She loves it. Next we had halloween...Kiley was Cinderella again, Rowen was Ariel and Kale was Superman. (I did post pictures of this for you). We had our friends, the Farnsworth's over for Thanksgiving and it was wonderful. It is so fun to spend Thanksgiving with friends and or family. All the food turned out so good. Yum!! My parents came out for Christmas this year. And my dad helped us fix our fence that had lots of issues. I didn't take any pictures because my memory card was full so I let my mom do all of the picture taking. Once I get some of those pix I will post them for you. But for now you will just have to enjoy Halloween pix since that's all I got. =)Although, I do have one pic from the Nutcracker. I took Kiley to go see it last week, just me and her and she loved it.
While all of this was going on I was having lots of tests for the constant abdominal pain I was having. Good news is they figured out what it was, Celiac Disease. Yep, I scored 104 on my blood test, out of 0-19 being negative and 19-30 being positive and anything over 30 being a high positive. Yeah, high positive for sure. I asked if the test was wrong, but they said "no". They said they have seen high ones but this was definitely one of the higher ones they had seen. So this new year brings me the gluten free challenge. =) So far, so good. Bring it on! I will miss you white wonder bread, entenmann's chocolate covered donuts, ritz crackers, Mom's apple pie, and Peggy Jackson's chocolate chip cookies. The list could go on but I won't make you hear it all. LOL. I think this will actually be a healthier diet for me since I did love my wheat products a lot. =) The real challenge will be going out to eat. LOL. So if anyone knows of restaurants with gluten free menus or has an tried and true gluten free recipes, I am all ears. =) Hopefully you all had a wonderful Holiday season and a Happy New Year! Luv ya!

MIA
Sorry, I have been MIA for awhile. Not much has happened. The kids and I just keep getting sick and both Kiley and I are now healthy. We are hoping that Rowen will get over her cold soon and Kale has RSV. He got a breathing treatment last week and seemed to be doing better, but now it has gotten worse and we will be going back to the doctor. They say that Rowen shouldn't have RSV, it is usually children under two that get it, but since she is not quite 2 1/2 it is possible so I will be getting her checked this time since she has had this nasty cough for over 4 weeks now. Other than that, we are doing fantastic. Christian did the Spartan Obstacle Course this past Saturday and came out first in his group and was only 30minutes behind the fastest person (this is out of 3,000 people) so he did awesome. He is doing the flying pig marathon relay style with three co-workers this Sunday so wish him luck. I myself, haven't been training for any races but I have been doing a healthy living program with my mom and sister for the past 9 weeks and have lost a total of 14 pounds so far. My pre-pregnancy jeans still don't fit but soon. LOL. Very soon. (My fingers are crossed). I got our tickets today for our Cali trip this Summer to see family and we are really excited. The girls are counting down. I told them we bought our tickets for California and Rowen wanted to get her swimsuit on. lol. She is all ready to go. lol. I took a few pics this weeks. The first ones are of Rowen today shortly after I told her about Cali. She has her swimsuit on and then got tired and decided to take a nap in her closet after going through her clothes. Maybe she was trying to pack? LOL. The other pics are of Kiley (my big girl, she was doing ballet around the house). And the last pix are of Kale. He turned 5 months last week and this week I introduced him to rice cereal. He was pretty excited. Enjoy the pics!

My Little Flour Girl
So, this is what happens while nursing a baby. Rowen decided to get into the flour and made a wonderful mess that took me almost two hours to clean up. This picture doesn't show it but she took a brand new thing of flour and dumped it in the dining room as well as the play room and into all of her toys and then traipsed around the house covered in flour leaving a trail behind her. Even though I wasn't pleased with her and she had to spend some time in timeout, I had to take a picture and smile inside at my little FLOUR GIRL. lol. Lovely!
